The White House Hong Kong is the wildcard of this line-up. With no set Father's Day menu and no fuss, this hole-in-the-wall Fortress Hill favourite offers a cosy setting for a relaxed celebration. Filled with mementos collected from the owners' travels around the world, the restaurant has a charming, eclectic personality that feels worlds away from Hong Kong's polished dining scene. On the menu, expect Mediterranean-inspired comfort food done exceptionally well, from pastas and risottos to grilled meats, fresh seafood and the restaurant's signature duck confit. There are also more adventurous dishes, including rabbit stew for those willing to step outside their comfort zone. If you're after somewhere personal, unpretentious and genuinely memorable, this neighbourhood gem is well worth a visit.

The vibe is casual and modern, with a strong focus on simple, well-executed toppings like classic margherita, salami and seasonal specials, plus salads and smaller plates if you want to round out the meal.
