If you’re looking for a refined set lunch in Central Hong Kong, the new seasonal menu (HKD$448) at 1111 ONES Restaurant & Lounge is as compelling as they come. Tucked along On Lan Street, this award-winning spot unfolds as a unique dining space where something special is felt the moment you step inside. Here, a five-course spring set lunch offers a polished yet approachable take on fine dining in the heart of Hong Kong, made even more appealing with a dining voucher** that adds even more value to the experience.

As soon as we stepped into the space, we were immediately drawn in. The interior is simply beautiful, with warm, sculptural wooden details inspired by Antelope Canyon flowing effortlessly throughout. We were welcomed by both the floor team and the chefs in the open kitchen, setting the tone for what was to come. Service remained meticulously attentive throughout, making this an ideal choice for a casual business lunch or a more elevated experience for any occasion.
Helmed by Executive Chef Chris Chan, the menu leans into balance over excess. This is not a lunch that will overwhelm you, but one that unfolds your afternoon with confidence, delivering a Michelin-quality experience that feels considered. The experience begins with unlimited house-made ricotta and freshly baked warm bread. Creamy with a gentle tang, paired with aged balsamic, dried fruit and herbs, it is simple yet deeply satisfying. It truly is the small details that set the restaurant apart from others.

The first dish arrived, a golden nugget of a crab croquette, with its crispy shell giving way to sweet, delicate meat, paired with a refreshing salsa that kept everything in balance. The Wagyu carpaccio, layered with peppery arugula, aged Parmigiano and a touch of caviar, embodied a quiet and flavourful elegance. Very much a standout for those seeking an Italian-French restaurant in Hong Kong that understands muted luxury. Chef’s soup of the day, a cauliflower soup with salted egg yolk, followed, bringing depth and a creamy richness without the weight. It was a combination we would not expect, yet it worked beautifully, a subtle nod to Chef Chan and his team's confident approach in the kitchen.
Throughout the meal, we kept returning to the same thought: nothing was overly seasoned. Almost as if there was an intentional lack of salt, allowing the character of each ingredient to cut through, and it works effortlessly.

For the main course, the dishes take a more decadent turn. The duck breast was a clear highlight, incredibly tender and finished with a black cherry jus that offered a sweet, tangy acidity, cutting through the richness of the meat. Beneath, a morel mushroom risotto acted as an earthy pillow, grounding the dish with depth and warmth. For those looking to elevate their lunch experience, the signature Sicilian red prawn linguine is worth the upgrade. At just an extra HKD$328, it's almost understated. The prawn head, rich with briny sweetness, adds an umami depth, coating the pasta in buttery goodness that lingers on the palate. Rooted in Chef Chris’s early Italian training and refined over decades, it carries both tradition and expertise in every bite.

Dessert stays classic with a tiramisu, prepared in true Italian style: layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone and a generous dusting of quality cocoa powder, finished with a subtle popping candy-like crunch from toasted crumbs that adds a playful contrast and had us grinning from ear to ear. It rounds off the set lunch experience with grace.
At HKD$448 for five courses, this easily positions itself among the best lunch deals in Hong Kong, especially within the fine dining category. For a limited time, guests also receive a HKD$448 dinner voucher (details below), making it an appealing option for those looking for restaurant deals that extend beyond one visit.

Saucy Says: “There’s a confidence to every detail here, from the space to the plates. Nothing feels over-the-top, yet every aspect hits. We loved how clearly each ingredient came through. If you’re after something elegant without fuss, this is it. And with the new lunch set, there’s really no excuse not to try. The easiest 10/10."
